Eintracht Frankfurt winger Bachoa has joined Leeds United on loan and will wear the number 23 jersey.

Leeds United officially announced on Wednesday the loan signing of French winger Jean-Matheau Bajoa from Eintracht Frankfurt. Bajoa will play for Leeds United until the end of the 2026/27 season, with a mandatory buy-out clause of €30 million included in his contract.

The official announcement also confirmed that Bajoa will wear the number 23 jersey during his loan spell.

The 21-year-old Bajoa primarily plays as a left winger, but can also play as an attacking midfielder, right winger, and center forward. He came through the Angers youth academy and made his professional debut for the first team in the French Cup on January 6, 2023.

In January 2024, Bajoa transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt for €8 million. To date, he has made 78 appearances for Frankfurt, scoring 7 goals and providing 8 assists.

Following the transfer, Eintracht Frankfurt's sporting director, Timo Hatton, offered his heartfelt congratulations to Bajoa: "Jean-Matheo Bajoa has made great strides at Frankfurt and is gradually approaching international standards. His move to Leeds United marks a new chapter in his career. We thank him for his hard work and dedication and wish him all the best for the future."
