Fulham have officially announced the signing of Elche centre-back Affingrubel for a transfer fee of €12 million.

Fulham have announced the signing of Austrian centre-back Davide Affingrubel from Elche. He has signed a contract until the end of the 2029/30 season, with an option to extend for another year.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Affin Grubbe's transfer fee is approximately €12 million.

The 25-year-old Affingrubel came through the youth academy of Red Bull Salzburg and made his first-team debut in the Austrian Bundesliga on January 31, 2021. He then joined and played for Sturm Graz for three seasons, during which time he won one Austrian Bundesliga title and two Austrian Cup titles.

In August 2024, Affingrubel joined Elche on a free transfer. To date, he has made 84 appearances for Elche, scoring 2 goals and providing 4 assists, and is considered a key player in the team's promotion to La Liga last season.

After completing the signing, Affingrubel stated through official channels: "Today is a special day for me personally and for my career. This is an important step for me, and I am filled with pride and joy."

Fulham's sporting director, Tony Khan, added: "I am delighted to welcome David Affingrubel to Fulham! David is a talented defender who is at the peak of his career."
