ENVY Leads the Battle for French Team 3DMAX Roster Acquisition

Esports club ENVY is planning to return to the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) scene and is very likely to take over the French team 3DMAX.

According to industry insiders, among the various bidders, ENVY's negotiations with 3DMAX are progressing the most. 3DMAX is currently one of the strongest teams in France, and recently, due to internal financial pressures, it is actively seeking new investors.

Besides ENVY, OG and Heretics are also in talks, with proposed acquisitions including either the entire five-man roster or signing only three core players. Of the three interested clubs, ENVY is the most advanced, but no formal agreement has been signed so far.

This potential deal has garnered significant attention. ENVY won the Major championship in 2015 and achieved immense popularity during the "EnVyUs" era, thanks to its French roster. Since reclaiming the ENVY brand in 2025, the team owner has publicly stated his plan to rebuild a Major-competitive roster.

If the signing is successful, it will mark the club's return to a Counter-Strike division after five years, and will also continue its historical connection with the French team.

Currently, negotiations between 3DMAX and other clubs are still ongoing. Whether the entire team will transfer or the core members will be separated remains to be seen and we will have to wait for further official updates.
