The Timberwolves coaching staff welcomes a new member, with Daniel Brady officially joining the team.

September 2nd - According to HoopsHype reporter Michael Scotto , the Minnesota Timberwolves are hiring Daniel Brady as an assistant coach. Brady will join head coach Chris Finch 's coaching staff.

Brady served as an assistant coach for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA Development League last season . Prior to that, he served three seasons as an assistant coach for Tom Thibodeau with the New York Knicks . Thibodeau and Finch have maintained a good relationship and have a high degree of mutual respect.

Before joining the Knicks, Brady worked for the Oklahoma City Thunder for four years as a player development coach and also served as an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Blue team in the G League. Earlier in his career, he worked with the Atlanta Hawks in player development and video operations.

Brady began his NBA career in 2012 as a video analyst with the Portland Trail Blazers. He later spent one season as a video analyst with the Houston Rockets.

Brady is the Timberwolves' second coaching staff addition this summer. Assistant coaches Pablo Prigioni , Elston Turner , Kevin Hansen , Chris Hines , and Jeff Newton remain in Finch's coaching staff.
