G2 and Vitality secured their playoff spots with BLAST Porto.

The group stage of the 2026 BLAST Porto Open has concluded, with G2 and Vitality both advancing from the lower bracket to secure the final two tickets to the quarterfinals of the playoffs.

In the lower bracket knockout stage, G2's match against Aurora was extremely dramatic. In the first game on Anubis, Aurora relied on solid fundamentals to take an early lead. The second game on Town was fiercely contested, with Aurora holding two match points, but failing to capitalize on the opportunity to end the game 2-0. G2 withstood the pressure and rallied to win in double overtime.

Entering the decisive map, Mirage, Aurora's situation completely spiraled out of control. After winning only the pistol round, they lost 13 consecutive rounds, ultimately suffering a crushing 1-13 defeat. G2 player r1nkle delivered a standout performance in this match, his solo clutches on the decisive map utterly crushing his opponent's will to fight back.

On the other side, Vitality also completed a long journey through the lower bracket. The team fielded jL as a substitute in this tournament. Although they suffered a surprising defeat in the first round, they subsequently eliminated Legacy and 9z to regain their rhythm.

In their do-or-die match against FUT, Vitality demonstrated superior dominance, winning the next two games 13-7 and 13-8 to secure a clean 2-0 victory and advance. Team leader apEX was in excellent form, while core player ZywOo and substitute jL also delivered consistent performances, giving their opponents little chance to mount a comeback throughout the game.

The eight quarterfinalists for the playoffs are now set. Previously in the winners' bracket, Spirit and MOUZ had already secured their semifinal spots by defeating FURIA and Falcons respectively. The tournament will now officially move to the Porto venue.
