Yuri Reger has joined Werder Bremen on loan and will play for the club until the end of the season.

Werder Bremen have officially confirmed the signing of Yuri Reger. The 23-year-old midfielder will join Bremen on loan until the end of the season. However, the deal is still subject to registration and approval procedures by the relevant football associations.  

Peter Niemeyer, head of professional football at Werder Bremen, said: "We have been observing Yuri Reger for a long time, so we are very pleased to have finally made this collaboration possible. He has a strong ability to adapt to multiple positions, especially in defense, where he has shown good strength. We believe that his arrival will further enrich the team's tactical system and provide the coaching staff with more possibilities in terms of personnel configuration."  

Speaking about Yuri Reger's arrival, Daniel Tuone also gave a positive evaluation, saying, "I watched Yuri Reger play live this summer, and I was very impressed with his performance then. He has received systematic football training, usually plays in the central midfield position, and has a great understanding of the game. Last season, he played more than 30 league and international matches for Ajax, and this experience will be helpful to us. I believe his arrival will further strengthen the team's squad."  

Yuri Reger, 23, began his football career in the Zanderwater youth academy. After training with clubs such as Boys Linesburg and ADO Den Haag, Reger joined Ajax's youth team in 2017 and gradually rose through the ranks to the first team. As a Dutch youth international, he left Ajax for Twente in 2023 before returning to Ajax two years later.
