Carlos Colberán: Regardless of who ultimately plays, the whole team must be prepared for the match.

Valencia manager Carlos Colberán spoke to the media ahead of the match, sharing his thoughts on the team's upcoming La Liga third round game. After the first two rounds of the new season, Valencia will host Deportivo La Coruña, and Colberán discussed the team's current preparations and his expectations for the game.  

Carlos Colberán said: "If I think there is a problem with the team, I will deal with it immediately. As things stand, I can feel the strong desire for victory in the dressing room. In the first two rounds, the players gave their all, and everyone did a great job in terms of attitude and commitment. I think this spirit is the foundation that we need to achieve our season goals."  

"Goals are certainly an important part of the game, but the quality of defense is equally important. As for the attack, I think creating chances and seizing them are two different things, and both require the participation of the whole team. An attack is not done by one player alone. From the goalkeeper to the center-backs, midfielders, wingers and forwards, everyone has their own responsibilities."  

"There is no fixed best formation in football; the key lies in how the players understand and execute it. We hope the team can take the initiative to control the rhythm of the game, maintain the desire to move forward while in possession of the ball, and have sufficient stability on the defensive end. Five defenders does not mean that five players are always standing on the last line. By having the midfielders drop back, we can form different structures, thus gaining more possibilities in the transition between attack and defense."  

Speaking about the team's current attacking efficiency, Carlos Colberán admitted that Valencia's goal-scoring performance at the beginning of the season was not ideal. He said, "Judging from the first two rounds, we do need to improve our goal-scoring ability. However, I don't think we can judge the team's attacking ability based on just two games. The current squad has good attacking power and creativity, and we are capable of creating more scoring opportunities and turning our attacking advantage into actual results."  

"The transfer window is not closed yet, and we hope to use the remaining time to continue strengthening our attacking capabilities, which is something the club is focusing on. But at the same time, we will not focus all our attention on the transfer market. Whoever ultimately plays for the team, we must be ready to play and aim to win."
