Canadian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club Luminosity's lurker Bymas, accused his former team Monte of owing him tens of thousands of dollars in wages and bonuses on Saturday via his official X (Twitter) account. He also revealed that the club has a history of delaying payments to players.

Bymas said that in addition to wages and bonuses, Monte is also owing him his share of the revenue generated from stickers at the ongoing Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne Major.

He further pointed out that he could cite several other players who are owed tens of thousands of dollars in wages and bonuses by the club. Over time, this has made him lose motivation to stay with the team and consider leaving.

Monte quickly responded to Bymas' accusations.

Monte said that Bymas, along with teammate Gizmy, deliberately concealed their ongoing transfer negotiations with another club while negotiating contract extensions with Monte, in order to catch Monte off guard.

Because he and his former teammates violated contract terms first, Bymas will inevitably be fined, and the club is also accused of lying.

The Ukrainian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club said that Bymas and his teammates never openly expressed concern about the unpaid wages.

Monte also revealed that with the change in sticker revenue policies, they believe they are not the first club affected by this issue, therefore Bymas's accusations seem like nitpicking.

Furthermore, the club did not intentionally delay the players' wages and bonuses; the delays were due to delays in payments from sponsors and tournament organizers, and the players had already been notified of this.

It's worth mentioning that Bymas and Monte have actually been engaged in a war of words for several days.

Recently, Monte's CEO unexpectedly released a video on the club's official YouTube channel accusing Bymas, AZUWU, and afro of dishonest behaviour through their agents during their collective transfer to Luminosity.

On the other hand, Bymas was recently relegated to the bench by Luminosity due to poor performance, and his position has now been replaced by former HEROIC rifler yxngstxr.
