Union Berlin officially announce the signing of Beşiktaş's German defender Felix Uduokhai..

Union Berlin announced on their official website on Thursday that they have signed Beşiktaş's German defender Felix Uduokhai.

According to Sky Sports' resident renowned German transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg, Die Eisernen paid a transfer fee of €1.5 million to sign Uduokhai. Due to confidentiality agreements, neither the club nor the media will disclose the length of Uduokhai's contract.

After completing his transfer, Uduokhai, who was interviewed by the Union Berlin official website for the first time, said: "For me, this transfer feels like the right step at the most opportune time. I've always missed the Bundesliga and was eager to join an ambitious project."

"From the beginning, Union Berlin made it clear to me what we wanted to achieve together. This belief deeply attracted me. Now, I look forward to integrating into the team, taking on responsibilities, and experiencing many wonderful moments with the fans."

About Felix Uduokhai

The 28-year-old Uduokhai was born on September 9, 1997, in Annaberg-Buchholz, Germany. He is 1.92 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a defender or defensive midfielder. He holds dual German and Nigerian citizenship.

Uduokhai played for Erzgebirge Aue youth academy as a kid. In 2008, he joined the 1860 Munich youth academy, started playing for their reserve team in 2015, before completing his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute the following September.

In July 2017, Uduokhai moved to Wolfsburg for €1 million.

During his two-year spell with Die Wolfe, Uduokhai helped the team reach the quarterfinals of the DFB-Pokal once.

In August 2019, Uduokhai was loaned-out to Augsburg. The following summer, the club triggered his buy-out clause for €9 million.

In August 2024, Uduokhai joined Beşiktaş on-loan with an obligation to buy.

During his two-year spell with Kara Kartallar, Uduokhai made 58 appearances for the Turkish Süper Lig giants in all competitions, provided one assist, and helped the team reach the quarterfinals of the Turkish Cup once.
