Auxerre completes contract extension with French defender Lamine Sy..

Auxerre announced on their official website on Thursday that they have extended the contract of its French defender Lamine Sy.

According to Auxerre's official statement, Sy has signed on a new long-term foue-year deal which runs until the summer of 2030.

About Lamine Sy

The 24-year-old Sy was born on August 10, 2002, in Les Mureaux, France. He is 1.71 meters tall and primarily plays as a right-back but can also play as a right midfielder. He holds dual French and Senegalese citizenship.

Sy played for the youth academy of his hometown club Les Mureaux from a young age. In 2014, he joined Caen's youth academy, started playing for Caen's reserve team in 2021, before completing his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute the following February.

After his contract expires in the summer of 2025, Sy moved to Auxerre as a free agent.

Since joining Auxerre, Sy has so far made 26 appearances for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
