Liam Delap is looking forward to playing with his new teammates.

Liam Delap from England has officially joined Premier League club Nottingham Forest on a five-year contract. In an interview, the young striker said he is very much looking forward to starting this new journey and playing alongside his new teammates.

The 23-year-old Liam Delap previously played for Chelsea and scored a goal in the 2025/26 Premier League season, as well as a goal in the Champions League.

In addition, the second round of the 2026/27 Premier League season will feature a key match, with Nottingham Forest traveling to Anfield to challenge Liverpool, managed by Andoni Iraola.

Speaking about his conversation with Nottingham Forest manager Glasner, Liam Delap shared, "I spoke with the manager and I really like his coaching style. I think he can really help me continue to grow and take the next step in my career."

During his time at Ipswich Town, Liam Delap also played alongside Nottingham Forest winger Omari Hutchinson.

Liam Delap said, "That was probably the most enjoyable time of my playing career, and I think it was also the best time of my career. I hope I can recreate that form here."

“I’ve spent a lot of time with James McCarty, and having familiar faces around when you come to a new team is very helpful. I also spent a season with Omari Hutchinson before, and I think these relationships will definitely help me integrate into the team more quickly.”

Liam Delap also said, "James McCarty is one of my best friends. We played together when we were very young and had a great chemistry, so I can't wait to play with him on the pitch again."
