Chongqing Wolves player Xin won the Best Player award for Week 9 of the KPL Summer Split Regular Season.

The MVP of Week 9 of the 2026 KPL Summer Split regular season has been officially announced, with Chongqing Wolves' roaming player Xin (Gou Hongxin) winning the award for his outstanding performance this week. Throughout the week, Xin demonstrated exceptional ability in initiating team fights, driving the tempo, and making informed decisions on the battlefield, helping Chongqing Wolves secure two consecutive victories and climb to the top of Group S with a perfect record.  

In this week's matches, Xin fully demonstrated the value of a roaming initiator. He was able to quickly find breakthroughs based on the situation on the field and decisively initiate attacks at key moments, creating space for his teammates to deal damage and push forward. Regardless of whether the team was in an advantageous or disadvantageous position, Xin maintained a keen battlefield judgment, repeatedly disrupting the opponent's formation with precise initiations and establishing the offensive initiative for the Chongqing Wolves.  

In terms of hero selection, Xin used Zhang Liang, Zhong Kui, and Shao Siyuan this week, showcasing distinct personal characteristics with each hero. When playing Zhang Liang, he effectively limited the opponent's core heroes through consistent control combos and crucial ultimate lock-on maneuvers. With Zhong Kui, he constantly used his hook to create psychological pressure and proactively sought opportunities to help his team control the game's tempo. When playing Shao Siyuan, Xin maintained a similarly aggressive approach, providing timely support to his teammates in team fights.  

Especially during crucial team fights, Xin maintained an extremely high level of focus. He was able to quickly observe the positioning of both sides, skill cooldowns, and the battlefield situation, accurately judging the best time to enter the fray. Once he discovered an opening in the opponent's defenses, he decisively used his hero's crowd control abilities to launch an attack, creating a breakthrough for his team. His outstanding team fight handling ability not only demonstrated Xin's solid individual skills but also showcased his deep understanding of the game's rhythm and teamwork.  

Thanks to Xin's outstanding performance, the Chongqing Wolves continued their strong form this week, winning two consecutive matches and topping Group S with a perfect record. As a key playmaker for the team, Xin constantly created offensive opportunities for the team through active roaming, precise team fight initiation, and crucial decision-making, helping the Wolves gradually establish and expand their advantage in the game.
