César Pesciotto: Everyone put in a tremendous effort for the game, and the team's overall performance was satisfactory.

Wolves manager Cesar Pescotto stated that while the team demonstrated good control of the game in their 2-0 away win against Sheffield Wednesday in the second round of the League Cup, there is still room for improvement. Despite making eight personnel changes compared to their previous match against Preston, Wolves maintained a stable performance, ultimately securing a 2-0 victory thanks to an own goal and Olao Olagunju's header just before halftime.

César Pesciotto was pleased with the team's smooth qualification and praised the performance of every player, including young defender Olagonju, who made his first-team debut and scored a goal. He stated that Wolves showed good form in the early stages of the match and created several opportunities to extend their lead, and could have scored more goals. In the second half, affected by fatigue, the team's possession and control of the game decreased somewhat, but their overall defense remained stable, and they ultimately held onto their 2-0 lead.

César Pesciotto said : “ We played very well at the start and scored quickly. I think we could have scored more in the first half. All the players put in a tremendous effort, and the team's overall performance was satisfactory. In the second half, I think we could have further strengthened our control of possession, but as the game progressed, some players started to get tired, which is normal. Most importantly, we maintained our formation throughout, didn't give the opponent many chances, and successfully kept a clean sheet. Winning away from home is very important, and I'm satisfied with the players' performance.”

“We will strive to win every game and field a competitive lineup every time. It is important to give all players playing time and keep them in good form because the Championship is very competitive and the season is very long. We need more than just 11 starters; we need the entire squad to be ready at any time.”

Wolves have been in good form recently, and Cesar Pescotto believes that the winning streak has helped create a positive atmosphere and boost the team's confidence. He said , " We put in a lot of effort during the preseason, and I think the team only lost one game. Therefore, it's very important to build the motivation to keep winning and to cultivate a good team spirit. The team is very well organized now, and everyone is striving for victory."

"Winning can drive the team to continue to improve and also give us more confidence. But we can't let our guard down because there are still many areas where the team needs to improve. The season has only just begun, and there are many more games to come. We must stay focused, stay humble, take it one step at a time, and keep our eyes on the next game on Saturday."

With the schedule becoming increasingly congested, Cesar Peschoto believes Wolves are well-prepared. He stated , " We know exactly how to handle this situation, and the staff has extensive experience in player recovery, which can help everyone get back to their best form as quickly as possible. The coaching staff has made meticulous arrangements in advance, and we will make reasonable adjustments based on the players' conditions, fielding the best possible lineup to ensure the team is competitive in every match."

With the upcoming home game, César Pesciotto hopes the team can continue their winning streak by leveraging their home advantage. He stated , " The next game is very important for us because we're finally back at home. Our goal is to win and let the fans who come to support us enjoy the game. Throughout the season, we've wanted to fully utilize our home advantage and, with the support of our fans, make this the most difficult place for our opponents to play against."
