Glasner stated bluntly, "Our opponents are more mature; only through hard work can we change the situation."

In the second round of the Carabao Cup, Nottingham Forest hosted Leeds United at City Stadium but lost 0-2 and were eliminated.

Leeds United secured the victory with second-half goals from Daniel James and James Justin, while Nottingham Forest were eliminated in the second round. After the match, manager Oliver Glasner admitted the team's performance fell short of expectations but expressed confidence that hard work could turn things around.

In reviewing the defeat, Glasna confronted the gap between the two teams and discussed the team's cohesion issues in an interview: "It was a tough night and a heavy defeat. We have to accept that this is the reality of the team's current situation."

"Our opponents are ahead of us. They have been in place and working together for two or three years, and they are adding players every year to make targeted improvements. Their lineup is obviously more stable. We, on the other hand, have only just started the process of getting together. We struggled a lot today and made too many mistakes."

Speaking about the decision-making errors and missed opportunities in the match, Glasner added: "We knew we would be playing under pressure, but the team made too many wrong decisions, directly giving the opponent scoring opportunities."

"We had two or three good chances to score, but we failed to capitalize on them. Only we ourselves can change the situation, and that's what we need to do next."

Several key players at Nottingham Forest are currently recovering from long-term injuries, and their fitness and competitive form are still being adjusted. Glasner stated that the team possesses excellent resilience, and as long as they remain united and train diligently, the team will soon see an overall improvement.
