Hamburg officially announce the signing of Nice's Nigeria international forward Terem Moffi..

Hamburg announced on their official website on Monday that they have signed Nice's Nigeria international forward Terem Moffi.

According to Hamburg's official statement, Moffi has signed a on a three-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. He will also wear the number 9 jersey.

After completing his transfer procedures, Moffi, who was interviewed by the Bundesliga club's official website for the first time, said: "The head coach was really persuasive in our conversations. The team's location, the passionate fans, and the club's overall direction also influenced my decision."

"Although Hamburg had been relegated to the 2. Bundesliga for several years, it remains a prestigious club worldwide. When I told my father I was interested in Hamburg, he immediately knew which club I was referring to and was very excited. It was incredible for me. I feel incredibly honored to be a part of the club's history."

"As a striker, I certainly love scoring goals, but I also love contributing to the team and striving to maintain team cohesion. I'm new to the team now, and there will always be a bit of adjustment at first, but I'm very much looking forward to getting to know everyone and starting this new journey together."

About Terem Moffi

The 27-year-old Moffi was born on May 25, 1999, in Calabar, Nigeria. He is 1.88 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward, but can also play as a right winger.

At 17, Moffi played for a small local football academy in England. After graduating, he joined the Kauno Zalgiris youth academy the following year, before completing his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in August 2017.

On the 2019 winter transfer window deadline day, Moffi moved to Riteriai. During his time at Riteriai, Moffi attracted the attention of several clubs in Europe's top five leagues with his high goal-scoring efficiency.

In January of the following year, Moffi joined Kortrijk for €1 million.

In October 2020, Moffi joined Lorient for €5 million.

During his two-and-a-half-year spell at Lorient, Moffi helped the team reach the Coupe de France Round of 16s once.

In January 2023, Moffi moved to Nice on-loan with an obligation to buy.

During his three-year spell at Les Aiglon, Moffi helped the Ligue 1 powerhouse reach the quarterfinals of both the Coupe de France and the UEFA Conference League once. 

In late January 2026, Moffi was loaned-out to Porto.

During his six-month spell at Porto, Moffi made 15 appearances for the Dragões in all competitions, scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist, helping the team win the Portuguese Primeira Liga title.
