The Sacramento Kings boast one of the league's longest histories, with numerous legendary players leaving their mark on the rebounding arena, from the Rochester Royals to the current Sacramento Kings. Here are the Kings' top five rebounders in franchise history:

1. Sam Lacey ( 9353 rebounds )

Lacey joined the Cincinnati Royals with the fifth overall pick in the 1970 NBA draft and consistently delivered double-double performances in his first six seasons. He played for the team for 12 years, averaging 10.5 rebounds per game. On November 11 , 1973 , against the Seattle SuperSonics, Lacey grabbed a career-high 26 rebounds, and recorded at least 20 games with 20+ rebounds throughout his career .

2. Jerry Lucas ( 8876 rebounds )

During his seven seasons with the Cincinnati Royals , Lucas averaged 19.1 rebounds per game and was selected to the All-Star team six times. In the 1965-66 season, Lucas averaged a career-high 21.1 rebounds per game. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as a player in 1980 and again in 2010 as a member of the 1960 U.S. Olympic men's basketball team.

3. Oscar Robertson ( 6380 rebounds )

Robertson was selected first overall in the 1960 NBA draft. In his rookie season, he averaged 30.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 9.7 assists, winning Rookie of the Year. During his time with the Royals, he was a 10 -time All-Star, averaging 8.5 rebounds per game. In the 1963-64 season, Robertson averaged 31.4 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 11.0 assists, winning the regular season MVP award .

4. Wayne Embiid ( 6257 rebounds )

Embry was drafted by the St. Louis Hawks in 1958 and subsequently traded to the Cincinnati Royals, where he spent his first eight seasons. He gradually developed into a core player for the team, earning five All-Star selections. In the 1961-62 season, he averaged a career-high 13.0 rebounds per game, and during his time with the Royals, he averaged 10.4 rebounds per game .

5. Jack Twyman ( 5424 rebounds )

Twyman was selected in the second round of the 1955 NBA draft by the Cincinnati Royals, where he spent his entire 11 -year career, averaging 6.6 rebounds per game. In the 1958-59 season, he averaged a career-high 9.1 rebounds per game. Twyman was a six- time All-Star and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983 .
