Pacers' all-time top five assists: Reggie Miller tops the list with 4,141 assists.

The Indiana Pacers have won multiple conference championships and reached the NBA Finals twice since joining the league in 1976. Below are the top five Pacers players in franchise history for total assists:

1. Reggie Miller ( 4141 assists )

After being drafted by the Pacers in 1987 , Reggie Miller dedicated his entire 18- year NBA career to Indiana, earning five All-Star selections and three All-NBA Team selections. In the 1990-91 season, he averaged a career-high 4.0 assists per game.

2. Fern Fleming ( 4038 assists )

Fleming, selected 18th overall in the first round of the 1984 NBA draft , played all 82 games in the 1989-90 season , averaging 14.3 points and 7.4 assists per game. Fleming spent 11 of his 12- year NBA career with the Indiana Pacers.

3. Mark Jackson ( 3294 assists )

Mark Jackson averaged 10.6 assists per game in his rookie season. He played six seasons with the Pacers , averaging 8.1 assists per game. In the 1999-2000 season, he helped the Pacers reach the NBA Finals and served as a key playmaker in the playoffs.

4. Jamal Tinsley ( 2786 assists )

After the 2001 NBA Draft, Tinsley was traded to the Pacers on draft night, where he averaged 8.1 assists per game in his rookie season. In November 2001 against the Wizards, he recorded a franchise-record 23 assists, along with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Tinsley played seven seasons with the Pacers , averaging 7.0 assists per game.

5. TJ McConnell ( 2367 assists)

As an undrafted player in 2015 , McConnell averaged 5.1 assists per game in the 2025-26 season , with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 4.48 . In January 2026 , McConnell became the second player in NBA history to reach 3,000 career assists all as a substitute.
