Jordan James: I can't wait to start this new journey, and I hope this season will be a big one in my career.

Wolves' new signing Jordan James stated that the team possesses ample talent and ability, and he believes he chose to join Wolves because the team has the potential to achieve exceptional results in the new season. The 22-year-old Welsh midfielder officially completed his transfer on Wednesday, joining Wolves from Rennes in Ligue 1.  

Last season, Jordan James joined Leicester City on loan and scored 11 goals in all competitions, earning the Championship Young Player of the Season award for his outstanding performance. Now officially at Molineux Stadium, the Welsh midfielder hopes to continue his good form from last season and showcase his abilities at Wolves.  

Jordan James said of the completed transfer: "I'm very happy to have finally completed this transfer. The past few weeks have been a long wait, but now that it's all settled, my family and I are very happy, and that's the most important thing for me. I can't wait to start a new journey and hope that this season will be a very important year for the Wolves and for my own career."  

“My agent told me that Wolves are very interested in me. In my mind, Wolves have always been a Premier League club. So now that I’m actually here and have the opportunity to show my abilities in front of the fans, I’m very happy. I’m already looking forward to Saturday’s game and hope to get a chance to play as soon as possible.”  

“I’m still young and there’s a lot I need to learn. However, I’ve already gained a lot of experience in the Championship and have a deep understanding of the league’s pace and characteristics. The Championship has a tight schedule, high intensity, and very physical play, but after the experience of the past few seasons, I’m ready to meet these challenges.”  

“We have a very talented team, and I believe that with the current squad, we can achieve a lot this season. The team has the ability to create extraordinary achievements, which is an important reason why I decided to join Wolves. Of course, playing in the Premier League has always been my goal, and I think it is the dream of every professional player. Speaking about his upcoming appearance in a Wolves jersey, Jordan James said he has been waiting a long time. He said, "I really can't wait. I've waited six whole weeks for this moment. Now I'm really looking forward to playing in front of the fans and showing them what I can do. For me, the most important thing is to prove myself through hard work and always give my all for the badge on my chest. It's an honor to represent any club, let alone a team with such a rich history like Wolves. “If I were to play now, I think I could definitely play the full 90 minutes. The past six weeks have been very difficult because I have been waiting for the transfer to be finalized. But during this time, I have kept training to keep my physical condition at its best. Now I just hope that when I actually step onto the pitch, I can be 100% ready for the game.”  

“I hope the fans can see more goals, assists, and my creativity. Last season, I gradually found the position that suits me best, which is the number 8. In this position, I can participate in defense and also make forward runs from the back to create threats in the penalty area. My position on the field is not fixed and needs to be constantly adjusted according to the situation on the field. I am now more athletic than when I was younger, and I can continuously cover the field and use my physical condition to influence the game.”  

“I always really enjoy scoring goals, so that’s what I hope to do most this season. As a number 8, I think it’s hard for opponents to completely contain me because I can keep pushing forward from deep positions. Many times, defenders don’t expect me to suddenly appear in such advanced positions, which allows me to seize opportunities and create threats, causing trouble for the opponent’s defense.”
