Schalke 04 completes contract extension with Germany U21s international left wing-back Vitalie Becker..

Schalke 04 announced on their official website on Thursday that they have extended the contract of its Germany U21s international left wing-back Vitalie Becker.

According to Schalke's official statement, Becker has signed on a new long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.

After completing his contract extension procedures, Becker, who was interviewed by the Schalke official website again, said: "I feel I seized the opportunity last year. It feels incredibly special to have the chance to represent my club in the Bundesliga."

"I know I still need to put in the same effort. I am very grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way. It has been a great honor to have come through the Knappenschmiede youth academy, progressed to the first-team, and finally had the opportunity to play at the VELTINS-Arena."

About Vitaly Becker

Becker, who is only still 21 years old, was born on March 2005 in Bottrop, Germany. He is 1.79 meters tall and primarily plays as a left wing-back, but can also play as a center-back or left midfielder. He holds dual German and Russian citizenship.

Becker joined Schalke's youth academy at the age of 8, began playing for their reserve team in 2024, and completed his first-team debut the following August.

Since his debut, Becker has made 22 appearances for the newly promoted Bundesliga club in all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist, helping them win the 2. Bundesliga title.
