August 20 - According to the Associated Press, Payton Watson will join the Cleveland Cavaliers from the Denver Nuggets in a four-team trade, while the Cavaliers will send Max Strousts to the Los Angeles Clippers.

 

Sources revealed that 23- year-old Watson played his first four NBA seasons with the Nuggets. He will sign a four- year, $ 88 million contract with the Cavaliers, including a player option and a trade bonus.

 

As part of the trade, the Cavaliers will send the Nuggets an unprotected 2031 first-round pick and the Sacramento Kings' 2032 second -round pick, acquired in a trade this year. Additionally, the Nuggets will receive Julian Reese from the Wizards .
