Coventry City have officially announced the signing of Fenerbahce youngster Sheriff for a transfer fee of €24.5 million.

Coventry City announced on Wednesday the formal signing of 19-year-old Fenerbahce striker Sidiqui Sheriff. Sheriff will wear the number 49 jersey at Coventry City, with a contract expected to run until June 30, 2031.

Other reports indicate that Sharif's transfer fee is approximately €24.5 million.

Sharif was born on December 15, 2006, in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, and moved to Saumur, France, at the age of 5. He came through the Angers youth academy and made his professional debut in 2023, making 36 appearances for the team and scoring 4 goals.

In February of this year, Sheriff joined Fenerbahce on a loan with a mandatory buy-out option. To date, he has made 17 appearances for Fenerbahce, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.

After completing the transfer, Sheriff bid farewell to Fenerbahce via social media: "The journey hasn't always been smooth sailing, but I'm leaving with only wonderful memories. Thank you to everyone who supported me, thank you to the fans for their love. Thank you to my teammates for accepting me from day one and making me one of you."

"I wish everyone all the best for the rest of the season. Now, it's time to fight for the championship."

Sheriff is also excited about his upcoming Premier League journey: "I'm thrilled to be a part of Coventry City and incredibly excited to play in the Premier League. I look forward to showing my abilities to the fans and making my debut in this amazing stadium. I can't wait to start this new chapter."
