Chongqing Wolves' Daozai was awarded the Best Player of the Week 8 of the KPL Summer Split regular season for his outstanding performance.

The Player of the Week for Week 8 of the 2026 KPL Summer Split Regular Season has been officially announced. Daozai (Yang Kaibo), the development laner for the Chongqing Wolves, once again won the honor thanks to his outstanding performance this week. After being selected in Week 7, Daozai continued his excellent form this week, successfully retaining his title as Player of the Week. He played a crucial role in several key matches, becoming a vital force in the Wolves' continued victories.  

In this week's matches, Daozai demonstrated an extremely rich hero roster and outstanding individual skill, constantly rotating between three core heroes: Eileen, Baili Shouyue, and Ao Yin. He was able to quickly adjust his playstyle to suit different team compositions and game situations. During the laning phase, Daozai maintained strong dominance, with Baili Shouyue using his long range to continuously harass, Eileen utilizing her mobility to trade blows, and Ao Yin establishing an advantage through sustained skirmishes. His varied playstyles made it difficult for opponents to find effective countermeasures.  

Entering the team fight phase, Daozai maintained extremely high output efficiency, constantly seeking safe positions to deal damage thanks to precise positioning and excellent damage judgment. He was able to avoid the opponent's key skills in time, ensuring his own survival while continuously dealing damage. Against Chengdu AG Super Play, Daozai delivered a dominant performance, achieving a pentakill with consecutive kills, directly tearing apart the opponent's defense and making a significant contribution to Chongqing Wolves' crucial victory.  

In terms of hero selection, Daozai demonstrated impressive hero pool depth this week, showcasing his skills with Eileen, Baili Shouyue, and Ao Yin. When playing Eileen, he relied on agile positioning to constantly kite and pressure his opponent through skill combos. With Baili Shouyue, he fully utilized his range advantage, applying constant pressure with long-range attacks. When using Ao Yin, he relied on consistent damage output and precise execution to find opportunities to attack. All three heroes performed admirably with their respective playstyles, fully demonstrating Daozai's solid hero proficiency.  

Having won the Player of the Week award for two consecutive weeks, Daozai's recent competitive form has been incredibly hot. From Week 7 to Week 8, he maintained a consistently high level of performance, not only excelling in individual statistics but also taking on the core output role in crucial matches on multiple occasions. As the regular season enters a more critical phase, Daozai has become an indispensable scoring option for the Chongqing Wolves and will be a vital force for the team as they continue to strive for higher goals.
