Le Mans officially announce the signing of defenders Djibril Sidibé and Raúl Torrente..

Le Mans announced on their official website on Wednesday that they have signed France international defender Djibril Sidibé from Toulouse and Spanish defender Raúl Torrente from Dinamo Zagreb.

According to Le Mans' official statement, Sidibé has signed on a short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend for a further year. Torrente will play for the club on-loan until the end of the new season, and the loan agreement includes a non-mandatory buy-out clause.

Sidibé will wear the number 19 jersey; Torrente will wear the number 16.

About Djibril Sidibé

The 34-year-old Djibril Sidibé was born on July 29, 1992, in Troyes, France. He is 1.83 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a left-back or right-back. He holds dual French and Malian citizenship.

Sidibé joined the youth academy of his hometown club Troyes at the age of eight and completed his first-team debut in a Coupe de France match in October 2009.

In July 2012, Sidibé moved to Lille for €2 million.

During his four-year spell with Les Dogues, Sidibé helped the team reach the Coupe de la Ligue final once.

In July 2016, Sidibé moved to Monaco for €15 million.

During his five-year spell at Monaco, Sidibé helped the team win one Ligue 1 title and also had a loan spell at Everton.

On the 2022 summer transfer window deadline day, Sidibé joined AEK Athens as a free agent.

During his two-year spell at AEK Athens, Sidibé helped the team complete the Greek Super League and the Greek Cup double once.

In the summer of 2024, Sidibé joined Toulouse on a free transfer.

During his two-year spell at Toulouse, Sidibé made 63 appearances for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 7 assists.

He was also a member of the France national team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

About Raúl Torrente

The 24-year-old Raúl Torrente was born on September 11, 2001, in San Javier, Murcia, Spain. He is 1.93 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a defensive midfielder.

Torrente played for the youth academies of local Murcia non-league clubs Cartagena and Mar Menor, before completing his Mar Menor first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in April 2018.

That same summer, Torrente joined Granada's youth academy, started playing for their B team in 2020 and becoming a member of Granada's first-team in November 2021.

During his three-year spell with Granada, Torrente won one Segunda División title.

After his contract expired in the summer of 2024, Torrente joined Dinamo Zagreb on a free transfer.

During his two-year spell with Dinamo Zagreb, Torrente made 30 appearances for the team in all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist, winning one Croatian HNL title and one Croatian Cup.
