Tottenham Hotspur's Italy international goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario officially joins Juventus on-loan..

Juventus announced on their official website on Wednesday that Tottenham Hotspur's Italy international goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has joined the club on-loan.

According to the Serie A giants' official statement, Vicario will play for the club on-loan until the end of the new season, and the loan agreement includes a non-mandatory buy-out clause.

Furthermore, according to Sky Sports' resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Nicolò Schira, Vicario's buy-out fee is set at €8 million, not including €2 million in performance-related bonuses.

After completing his transfer proceduers, Vicario, in his first interview with Juventus' official website, said, "I'm incredibly excited right now, as this has been my dream since I was a child."

"I've always dreamed of and hoped this moment would come. Of course, you can't guarantee you'll achieve your dream, so I'm incredibly proud of achieving this moment for myself and my family, because for me, having the opportunity to represent Juventus is the greatest and proudest ambition of my life."

About Guglielmo Vicario

The 29-year-old Vicario was born on October 7, 1996, in Udine, Italy, and is 1.94 meters tall.

Viccario joined Udinese's youth academy at a young age and was promoted to the first-team in the summer of 2014.

Subsequently, Vicario was loaned-out to non-league club Fontanafredda to gain match experience, where his outstanding performances led to his transfer to Venezia in August 2015 for €10,000.

During his four-year spell at Venezia, Vicario quickly established himself as a regular starter for the club, winning one Serie C title and one Coppa Italia Serie C.

In July 2019, Vicario moved to Cagliari for €2 million, but was immediately loaned-out to Perugia.

The following summer, Vicario joined Empoli on-loan with an option to buy.

After successfully helping the club avoid relegation, Empoli permanently bought out Vicario's rights in the summer of 2022 for €8 million.

In July 2023, Vicario joined Tottenham Hotspur for €17.2 million.

Since joining Spurs, Vicario has so far has made 117 appearances for the Premier League giants in all competitions, conceding 170 goals and keeping 29 clean sheets, winning one UEFA Europa League title with the team.
