Former Chelsea Belgium international center forward Michy Batshuayi officially joins newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side Abha..

Abha announced on its official website on Tuesday that the club had signed former Chelsea Belgium international center forward Michy Batshuayi from Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to the newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side's official statement, Batshuayi has signed on a short-term one-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.

About Michy Batshuayi

Michy Batshuayi, 32, was born on October 2, 1993, in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. He is 1.85 meters tall, plays as a center forward, and holds dual Belgian and DR Congo citizenship.

Batshuayi played for the youth academies of RWDM Brussels, Anderlecht, and Standard Liège successively when he was young, before completing his Standard Liège first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in February 2011.

During his three-years at Standard Liège, Batshuayi was named the Pro League’s Best African Player of the Year once.

In August 2014, Batshuayi joined Olympique de Marseille for £4.5 million.

During his two-year spell at Marseille, Batshuayi helped the team reach the Coupe de France final once.

In July 2016, Batshuayi joined Chelsea for £33.2 million.

During his six-year spell with the Blues, Batshuayi helped the team win one Premier League title and reach the Carabao Cup final once.

During that time, he also played on-loan for Borussia Dortmund, Valencia, Crystal Palace, and Beşiktaş.

While at Beşiktaş, Batshuayi helped the team win the Turkish Super Cup.

On the 2022 winter transfer window deadline day, Batshuayi joined Fenerbahçe for a transfer fee of €3 million.

During his two-year spell at Fenerbahçe, Batshuayi helped the team win the Turkish Cup once.

In July 2024, Batshuayi joined Galatasaray as a free agent, becoming the first player in football history to have played for all three of the Turkish Süper Lig’s Big Three.

While at Galatasaray, Batshuayi helped the team win the Turkish Süper Lig title.

On the 2025 winter transfer window deadline day, Batshuayi joined Eintracht Frankfurt for 3 million euros.

During his six-month stint with Die Adler, Batshuayi made 21 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga powerhouse, scoring 4 goals.
