Unai Hernandez: I am grateful for the club's recognition of me, and playing for Girona's first team is my goal.

Girona's new signing, Unai Hernandez, gave an interview after completing his transfer, sharing his feelings about returning to familiar surroundings and his expectations for the new season. He stated that he didn't hesitate much when Girona extended an offer because he believes it's the best team for him to develop at this stage.  

President Delphi Gheli welcomed Unai Hernandez's arrival, saying, "We are delighted to welcome Unai Hernandez. We are very familiar with his abilities and characteristics, and we believe his talent will help the team remain competitive at this level of the league. We hope he can develop well here and further demonstrate his potential."  

Girona's sporting director, Quique Cassell, also spoke highly of Unai Hernandez's return. He said, "To me, Unai Hernandez has always been a player who came up through the youth academy. I've been following his development since he was very young."  

“He has outstanding talent and a distinct personality. I’m very happy to see him back with the team. I believe that as long as he maintains that desire, he will definitely be a great help to the team.”  

Unai Hernandez said: "First of all, I want to thank the club for its recognition and trust in me. I did receive offers from other teams at the time, but when the opportunity with Girona came my way, I didn't hesitate for long. This is the best option for me at this stage, and coming back here feels like coming home."  

"Playing for Girona's first team has always been my goal. Over the past few years, I've experienced many different challenges and played for some good teams, which has helped me improve both my physical condition and professional attitude. Now that I'm back here, I believe I've become a more mature and well-rounded player."  

Speaking about Girona's style of play, Unai Hernandez said, "In the game against Leganés, I saw the team display a distinct style; they like to control possession and dictate the tempo of the game. This style of play suits my characteristics very well, and I believe I can play a role in this system and help the team."  

“My teammates have been very welcoming to me. I’ve worked with some of them before, so reintegrating into the team has been much smoother. This season, we hope to enjoy the game as a whole and grow together. Of course, one of our most important goals is to help the team return to La Liga.”
