Borussia Dortmund have officially signed Greek starlet Constantellas on a five-year contract.

Borussia Dortmund announced on Monday the formal signing of Greek attacking midfielder Giannis Constantillas. Constantillas transferred from Paok and has signed a contract with Dortmund until June 30, 2031.

According to multiple media reports, the transfer fee for Constantillas was €26 million plus €6 million in add-ons. Furthermore, Paok retained a 15% cut of the player's earnings from any subsequent transfer.

Other reports indicate that Constantias earns approximately €3.5 million annually at Borussia Dortmund.

The 23-year-old Constantias came through the Paoke youth academy and made his professional debut for the first team in the Greek Super League on January 17, 2021. He was then loaned to Eupen in Belgium for half a season, and from June 2022 onwards, he gradually developed into Paoke's midfield core.

To date, Constantias has made 190 appearances for Paok, scoring 44 goals and providing 26 assists, and has won the Greek Super League title and the Greek Cup once each.

Regarding the transfer, Dortmund's sporting general manager, Lars Ricken, explained: "We are delighted to have signed Giannis. He is a very talented attacking player, and we have been following his development for a long time. At 23 years old, he is relatively young, but he also has a wealth of experience. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the management of Paok FC for their respectful and constructive communication with us during the Giannis transfer process."

Dortmund sporting director Ole Booker added: “Giannis’ arrival will strengthen our team. We see great potential in him and are confident that he will integrate well into the team. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my colleagues at Paok for their professional and respectful communication with us throughout the transfer process.”

Constantias said, "I am very excited to play for Dortmund. Dortmund is a great club, and I will do my best to succeed here."
