Marshall Munesi believes the team must build more confidence and also face its shortcomings.

Marshall Munesey believes that Wolves failed to capitalize on their chances in the first half of their Championship opener against Blackburn Rovers, ultimately preventing them from securing all three points. Playing at home at Molineux Stadium, Wolves dominated the first 45 minutes, but only Munesey's shot in the 18th minute resulted in a goal – their first shot of the new season.  

After the start of the second half, Blackburn Rovers quickly changed the game and took the lead. Wolves only managed to equalize in the final stages of the match thanks to a penalty converted by Raul Jimenez. Marshall Munesi believes his team could have capitalized on their opportunities in the first half to build a significant advantage and secure the victory earlier, while also emphasizing that Wolves will learn from this experience.  

Marshall Munesi said: "I think you could say we dropped two points or you could say we gained one. We created a lot of chances in the first half, and if we had been able to capitalize on them better, we could have sealed the victory much earlier. Unfortunately, we couldn't do that in the end."  

“I think in a league like the Championship, if you don’t capitalize on your chances to finish early, it’s easy for the opponent to regain their confidence. They did take the lead, but we showed a lot of resilience, especially in the final stages of the game when we were able to equalize, which is commendable.”

Speaking about his goal, Marshall Munesi said, "We often practice similar attacking patterns in training, and I think this is one of the ways we've always emphasized in our teamwork. In the match, we demonstrated what we practiced very well. This is also what the head coach has always asked of us; he wants us to actively seek out such attacking spaces, and he also requires my teammates and me to improve our efficiency when opportunities arise."
