Arsenal manager Mikel Artetazan's team's execution and winning mentality

Arsenal defeated Manchester City 3-0 in the Community Shield match held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff to lift the trophy.

Arsenal secured the victory thanks to a lightning-fast goal from Riccardo Carafiori just 23 seconds into the game, followed by goals from Kai Havertz and Martin Ødegaard. After the match, manager Mikel Arteta gave the team high praise for their performance and form.

In an interview, Arteta stated frankly: "I am very satisfied with the team's performance, the desire to win shown, and the way they compete."

"This was a great test, and all the credit goes to the players on the pitch for beating Manchester City in this way. We emphasized before the game that we should take the initiative from the start, and the lads' execution of the tactics during the game was admirable."

Speaking about the debut performances of new signings Cristos Torres and Bruno Guimarães, Arteta couldn't hide his joy: "They played exceptionally well."

"Zolis provided two assists and handled the ball very calmly inside and outside the penalty area. Bruno established his presence within the first two or three minutes with a tackle, and his tackling and energy played a key role in the midfield."

Despite winning by a large margin, Arteta still valued the team's attention to detail: "Although we haven't reached perfection in passing and running timing due to some new signings still getting used to each other, the team's attitude of tracking back and actively covering after losing possession was very enjoyable to watch."
