Luis García Prasah stated that this victory was significant for the team, and the players deserved the three points.

In the first round of the 2026/27 La Liga season, Sevilla hosted Rayo Vallecano and successfully completed a comeback victory. After the match, head coach Luis García Praza gave a media interview, expressing satisfaction with the team's three points and praising the players' tenacity and resilience under pressure.  

After the match, Luis García Praza said, "This is a very important victory, and the team deserves these three points. We actually started very well and quickly got into the rhythm of the game, but then some unexpected things happened. A mistake gave the opponent an opportunity, and they scored a goal because of it."  

“Aruna Sangante has been outstanding during the preseason, and he delivered another brilliant performance today. The team remained patient throughout the game, gradually finding their rhythm and making adjustments through sustained pressure. Every player contributed to the final victory, especially after the team was down to 10 men. Manu Bueno also made a crucial and beautiful tackle, creating an attacking opportunity for us.”
