Sevilla have officially announced the signing of Aruna Sangante, with a contract running until June 2031.

Sevilla FC has officially confirmed the signing of 24-year-old Senegalese center-back Aruna Sangante. He left Le Havre, France on a free transfer and signed a long-term contract with the club until June 30, 2031, to strengthen the team's defense.

Aruna Sangant, born in Senegal, stands at 1.89 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a right-back. His move to Sevilla marks his first departure from Le Havre. At the age of 15, he joined Le Havre's youth academy from Cosmos Saint-Denis and Red Star Belgrade in the Paris region, gradually developing into a key member of the defense.

In the 2020/21 season, Aruna Sangant made his first-team league debut in the final Ligue 2 match against Troyes, having previously made his first appearance in the French Cup against Paris FC. He then showed significant improvement in the 2021/22 season, playing 32 Ligue 2 matches and scoring one goal, as well as making two appearances in the French Cup.

In the 2022/23 season, Aruna Sangant's performance steadily improved, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists in 35 league appearances, helping Le Havre win the Ligue 2 title and gain promotion to Ligue 1. He then played in Ligue 1 for three consecutive seasons, making 74 appearances and scoring 4 goals, and also made 2 appearances in the French Cup.

It is worth noting that Aruna Sangant, at just 21 years old, was appointed captain of Le Havre starting from the 2023/24 season, demonstrating outstanding leadership and a strong sense of responsibility. He is not only the core of the defense but also plays an important role in the dressing room.

At the national team level, Aruna Sangante has yet to make his official debut for Senegal, but he was included in the squad for the 2024 friendly matches against Gabon and Benin. However, injuries prevented him from playing in those matches.

Aruna Sangant's arrival provides Sevilla's defense with a young center-back who possesses physical attributes, match experience, and leadership qualities, thus beginning a new journey and challenge in his professional career.
